Sandi Villarreal is the Managing Editor for The Windy Citizen. Born and raised in San Antonio, Sandi graduated with a B.A. in journalism and political science from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.
She has interned at the Associated Baptist Press, working both in the Jacksonville, Fla., and Washington, D.C. offices.
Sandi also spent a year working for Lee Enterprise's Suburban Journals of Greater St. Louis before deciding to pursue a graduate degree. She is a masters candidate at the Medill School of Journalism in the writing and reporting track and is set to graduate in August 2008.
While at Medill, Sandi has focused on creating interesting and user-friendly content across all platforms while honing her writing and reporting skills on a wide variety of topics. She hopes to continue her career in print and Web journalism after graduation.
