How it works
1. Post a Chicago link. (No sign up required!)
2. Watch as people vote up, click on, and discuss it and our network writes about it.
3. The best links make the front page and are delivered via daily e-mail, rss, twitter and more.
Wearing a new Cubs hat and munching on a McDonald's Happy Meal, Dominic DiAngi, 7, looked like any normal kid Wednesday afternoon as he was released from Children's Memorial Hospital.
The only indication that Dominic had been struck and seriously injured by a foul ball Thursday at Wrigley Field were the piles of Cubs souvenirs in his room, including a Ted Lilly jersey that hung above his hospital bed.
"He's getting to the point that he has that same old twinkle in his eye," said Dominic's father, Peter DiAngi.
Dominic said he was looking forward to getting home and playing with his brother and two sisters.
