CTA to speed ‘three-tracking’ work that’s slowing Red Line commute

The CTA said today it will speed construction work on the L tracks at the Belmont and Fullerton Brown Line and Red Line stations, finishing the work six months early.

Southbound service should be back to normal by the end of this year, CTA officials said.

Previously, it was set to be finished in the summer of 2009.
