A Naperville medical records firm founded by an innovative businessman has hired retired House Speaker Dennis Hastert as a strategic adviser.

The Goeken Group Corp. has hired Hastert, whose connections on Capitol Hill might also be of benefit to the firm. Goeken is the parent company of Global Med-Net and Global Med-Net International, which develops databases of medical information that can be accessed in an emergency.
